Thank you for visting.

My name is Roy Somech,

I am a lifestyle and studio portrait photographer, I serve families and businesses on Long Island. Anything from family portraits, to business headshots, pet photography and more.

I started offering my services as a professional portrait photographer in 2006 and, while I serve clients all over the tri-state area, Long Island is where I started my business and where I still work on a very regular basis! I am a graduate of Stony Brook University.

I would be happy to hear from you if you have any questions as you browse the website and/or if you have a special idea or project in mind.

Lastly, please don’t forget to visit my main Portrait Photography Website where you will find the complete portfolio, session information, and pricing.

Thank you for visiting!

Children Photography – Review

Long Island Children Portraits

Online Review

Angela B. - Newborn and Family Portrait client

Professionalism / Talent / Patience.

We cannot rave enough about Roy and his professionalism/talent/patience.

We have used him now for both children and their newborn sessions. Not only does he come to your home to set up the studio (making it easy for a new mom and such young babies), but he knows all the baby tricks to make them happy and comfortable (even used his own hairdryer at one point!). He also gave us plenty of time to bond with the baby, nurse whenever we needed, etc. Both experiences have been so relaxing and easy.

Most important is the talent. His images have been beautiful, edits have been tasteful and the ideas have been brilliant. Couldn't recommend him enough!

My Photography Background and Style:

My photographic journey started a few years before digital began to transform the industry. Using film was a great way to learn my craft and for personal projects, I still shoot using medium format film.
Since 1999 I’ve been involved in the photographic industry in one way or another. From working in a lab, professionally retouching images, to maintaining an e-commerce site selling photographic gear to working at wedding and events. Each of these jobs has helped me develop skills that I now use on a daily basis in my studio.

I love capturing sincere smiles, and the best way to achieve that is by making sure my clients have genuine fun during our session.
I take my time and try to make you enjoy our time together.

Work Ethics & Personality
Easy going. Perfectionist and always excited to do what I do.
I work hard for each and every one of my clients and I like to think it shows in the results… I tend to go above and beyond what Is promised.
I consider myself very fortunate to be able to photograph for a living.
